For projects or applications where lower light output levels are required, or when a luminaire may be in direct view, high brightness LED luminaires are not ideal. For such applications, GVA Lighting offers the STR2 ; a low power, miniature LED strip luminaire.

For the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, the STR2 was ideal for a direct view application in their Atrium. To accent a large concrete pillar, numerous STR2 luminaires with frosted lenses are installed in grooves running vertically up the pillar sides. The glowing strips add a gentle light the space while drawing one's eyes vertically to truly appreciate the atrium's grandeur.
