The Riverfront Park Pavilion in Spokane Washington received the Outdoor Lighting Design Award of Distinction and the Control Innovation Award of Excellence in the IES 2020 Illumination Awards.

Congratulations to the designers Jack Schneider and David Baumann (NAC Engineering) and to the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department. And a special thanks goes to J.C. Wright Lighting for connecting everyone together!

We’re proud to have participated in the success of this project by providing 479 custom HIGHLIGHTER® BLADE luminaires. They are specifically designed to mount to the 7.4 km (4.6 miles) of structural cable that makes up the pavilion and feature a unique diffusing blade of perfectly uniform lighting, addressable in 300 mm (1 ft) segments. The result is a mesmerizing color-changing display of light that transforms Spokane’s skyline and will enthrall visitors to the park for many years to come.
