On September 28th, GVA Lighting partnered with the Lighting Magazine and the High Commission of Canada to the United Kingdom in organizing an event promoting the latest Canadian Design and Innovation to lighting designers and architects in London, UK.
The evening started with Mr. Jason Kee, the Trade Commissioner at High Commission of Canada in UK, greeting his guests and speaking about the venue – the beautiful Canada House located right in the heart of London, on Trafalgar Square. The Victorian-style building had been recently renovated, where lighting was a major contributor to the new look. Canadians everywhere have a right to feel united and proud.
Ray Molony, the Editor of Lighting Magazine then presented the program of the night and introduced the upcoming main speakers. Vladimir Grigorik, the President of GVA Lighting, spoke about The Art (and Science) of Skyscraper Illumination and walked the audience through the invention process of the INFINITY technology. Paul Boken, the Vice President of Mulvey & Banani Lighting, ended by speaking about the practical applications and advantages of the technology in his projects.
Following the formal part of the event, guests were invited to stay for a reception where they were able to enjoy a selection of fine foods and Canadian wines.
We would like to thank our partners as well all attendees for making this event so enjoyable.
