First ever partner visit to the Oakville manufacturing facility reflects continued expansion across Asia Pacific

Oakville, ON – GVA Lighting, Inc., a leader in innovative architectural lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that it recently welcomed its first ever project partner visit from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Oakville, Ontario. The visit gave the group a firsthand look at how GVA architectural lighting is engineered, tested and built.

The visit reflects GVA’s continued expansion in APAC and the strong partnerships the company is building across the world. For GVA, opening its doors and sharing how the work is done is a natural part of building lasting relationships with the partners who bring its lighting to life on projects.

Seeing Firsthand How GVA Products Are Designed and Made

During the visit, the group toured the Oakville facility and followed GVA’s process from engineering through final assembly. Standing on the floor where products are designed, tested and built gave partners a closer look at the care behind every luminaire, along with the chance to ask questions directly of the teams doing the work.

GVA is vertically integrated, with engineering and manufacturing in house, so partners could see how each stage connects to the next. The facility operates under ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management.

Training Directly from the People Behind the Technology

Alongside the facility tour, the group received product and technology training directly from the engineers and specialists who develop GVA’s solutions. The training centred on GVA’s four core technologies: INFINITY®, GVA’s proprietary 380V DC power distribution technology; COLOR-STREAM®, its ultra fast lighting communication protocol; COLOR-AMP®, its smart algorithm for maximizing lumen output; and UNIBODY™, its proprietary sealing technology.

Learning about these technologies from the teams who created them gives partners the detail and confidence they need when specifying GVA on their own projects.

Beyond Headquarters

The experience can also extend beyond GVA HQ. Partners have the opportunity to explore local project installations in the beautiful Niagara region and in downtown Toronto, home of the Toronto Raptors, Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. Seeing lighting in its architectural setting adds valuable context to what partners learn at the facility.
